I am so happy I could just spit. Ok, that's not the word I was going to use, but thought I'd better be a good girl. LOL. I'm way happy right now because I've finally gotten one of my very first websites revamped and done in blog form.
In 2003, I started a website for writers called The Prompt Writer. I posted 20 different writing ideas each week, in 20 different categories. Everything was going great until about a year ago when I could no longer gain access to the back end of the site. The site was being hosted by a friend of mine, but I lost contact with her and ended up putting the site on hold. It remained online, but I couldn't do anything to update it.
Well, this past weekend I finally decided to do something about it. Thanks to my friend Garry Conn, The Prompt Writer is back online and able to be updated. I've given the whole thing a brand new look and feel, as well as added all the old writing prompts from the original site.
It's been a long time since I was able to work on this site, and I've really missed it. This is my very first site, and my baby. I thought about giving it up, but I just couldn't do it. It still means too much to me. I invite everyone to come see the new look of my old site. I'm hoping to turn it into one of the best sites for writers, though that's probably only a pipe dream. But I've always said, if you're going to dream, dream big.

Finally made it home
Ok, kids. I guess I need to get in here and let everyone know that I made it home from Boy Scout Camp. You know what the best part about being home is? Sleeping in my own bed as opposed to sleeping on a flipping cot that gave me severe legs aches all week at camp. LOL, oh and Internet access.
So, let's do a break down of my week at Scout camp. Where do I start? How about the fact that I hadn't even gotten 10 miles outside of town and got a speeding ticket. Yep, I got busted for doing 75 in a 65. Hell of a way to start the trip. But I thought, no big deal, get the bad stuff out of the way and have a great week.
Ok, we get to camp on Sunday afternoon. Got all set up and quickly found out that the place was swarmed with mosquitos AND ticks. They were thick. Why??? Because it has rained so much around that area that there is standing pools of stagnant water everywhere. Then, Sunday night, it rained all bloody night long.
Monday was hot and humid, which caused major storms Monday night. We ended up in the tornado shelter around midnight, but not because of a tornado. It was because of all the lightning and hail that was in the surrounding areas. One town north of where we were ended up with 8 inches of quarter sized hail. They had to get the snow plows out in order to open the roads.
Tuesday was the only day it didn't rain. But it was very hot and I ended up with a nasty heat rash on my arms. LOL. I have to laugh because it was my own damn fault for not using sun screen or covering up.
Wednesday is the day we cooked our own stuff at dinner. We made it through dinner before it started raining, but all my boys had a blast. Even in the rain, they were running and playing. It was pretty fun. I even got out there and played in the rain. One of the camp directors came down and had dinner with us, which made it even more fun. Thanks Chris, my boys had a ball.
Thursday and Friday were pretty much hot days and stormy nights, but again, we all had a great time. Saturday morning came all too soon, and it was time to go home. I know most of this post sounds like I'm complaining, but I'm not. I had a blast the whole time we were there, and knowing that this was the last time I'll be going to camp makes me want to cry.
If any of the staff from camp is reading this, I want you all to know that the past 5 years have been some of the best in my life. I love you all very much and will always consider you my friends, even if I never see you again. You have made a huge impact in my life, and in the lives of my boys. Because of you, we all know that there are certain things we can do that we never thought possible.
Ernie, Jeff, Chris, Anna, and Mama Bear, I will carry you all in my heart until my last breath.
Oh yeah, one more thing. MMMOOOOOKKKIIIIIEEEEEEE (inside joke)

Getting Ready For Camp
Wow, I can't believe it's been 2 weeks since my last post. But that's ok. I ended the month by making a full $40 with my Google ads, and that made me a very happy camper. The next few weeks are going to be so busy for me I'm about ready to run away from home.
I'm in the process of getting ready for Boy Scout Camp. This is going to be my last year of going, so I'm going to have as much fun as I can. I will miss all the guys I've met and befriended over the past 5 years at camp, and I hope to see them all again someday.
Getting ready for camp is only part of all the crap I've got to get done. I want to try and get a bunch of posts done and scheduled on all my blogs. That way, even while I'm gone, I'll have new posts going out. The only real bad thing about camp is that I'll have no Internet access for a whole week. EEEEEKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!
Plus, I've got to get my house in order before I go. My husband and daughter will still be here, and this isn't the first time we've done this, but I still worry about them. Last year, my daughter just spent the whole week with the grandmas, but now that she's made the cheerleading squad, she has to stay home to get to practice. I'm not sure who's going to be taking care of whom. LOL
So, I guess I'd better get back after it. I need to get as many posts done this weekend as I can. I'd like to have at least three posts per blog done before tomorrow night. That might not sound like a lot, but with all the other things going through my brain, it could be a stretch. LOL
