Surprise!!! Yes boys and girls, it's me again. Bet you thought you'd seen the last of me. I mean after all, it's been more than a year since I last posted over here, but I have a new lease on life. Well, I have a new reason to start posting here again. Why? Because I can!! Ok, so the real reason is because I've figured out a way to get this blog back up and running again.
I've spent the past few weeks hanging out with Giveaway blogs. I've had a blast doing these giveaway contests, though I haven't won a bloody thing yet. But that's okay. I've also been working very hard on some quilting projects. I have a couple online shops I'd really like to get going, but want some handmade items to list before I get to carried away. So, I've been working on making some quilted clutch purses and am trying to put together an apron. Well, at the moment I'm blogging but you know what I mean.
Then I found it. My reason for getting this blog back up and moving. No, I'm not going to be doing anymore paid posts. Those days are so over. I found my Fairy Blog Mother who hosts one of the coolest weekly blog-things I've ever heard of. It's called the Friday Bitch & Moan and I think that's the perfect reason to get Redhead Rants back into high gear.
The way it works is that each Friday you post a Bitch & Moan to your blog and link to it in the comments section of the Fairy Blog Mother. Or, you simply go to her comment section and bitch away. What a cool way to get things off your chest and still pick up a little traffic. Totally awesome. And believe me kiddies, this was a week for me to Bitch about. Here, let me tell you more.
Ok, so my son is to be leaving in less than 2 weeks for the Navy. And the closer it comes to time for him to leave, the worse luck he's having. They say that luck is a lady, but that bitch needs to step the hell back. I also have a teenage daughter who is going to drive me completely over the edge. She's 16 and determined to flunk the 10th grade. I swear, she is the most stubborn, pig-headed female I've ever met (next to me). Then to top it all off, my mother has decided to dump all her financial problems on my lap. My dad passed away in 2004, and my mom has never really gotten over it. The worst part about it all is that she really doesn't want me to tell her how to fix it, she just wants me to take care of it. I told her she needed to tighten her belt a little bit. Quit spending money on crap she didn't need, which was about the same as telling a Pit Bull not to attack the French Poodle walking down the street.
For some reason, my entire family has come to me when they had a problem. I don't know why. I'm not rich by any means, but I've always done whatever I could to make their lives better. It drives my hubby nuts. But sometimes I really wish they'd all take a look at what they're doing to me. Personally, I'd like to tell the whole lot of them I don't rightly give a shit about their problems, I just want to play Boggle on Pogo. However, I won't do that. I just smile, tell them all the shit they need to hear but don't want to hear. Get screamed at for being a mean person and move on to the next. I have to be honest, sometimes the idea of watching them flip out is fun for me.
Ok, I think I've bitched long enough. This is kind of good for the soul. A bit long, but who cares. If it will keep me sane for one more week, then I have to say thank you to my Fairy Blog Mother. And be on the lookout for some cool things coming up in the next few weeks. I think it's high time to get Redhead Rants back to the place she was a couple years ago. If nothing else, I'll have a place to Bitch & Moan. :)
