The Essence of Friendship

I’m not your friend,
for what you know.
I’m your friend,
for what you show.

Be we neighbors,
or miles apart.
I call you friend,
down in my heart.

Friendships run,
through space and time.
The essence of,
this little rhyme.

I’m proud to say,
you are my friend.
And these words,
to you, I send.

Thanks hon.

Poetry was where I started out in my writing life. It took me a few years, but look where it's gotten me.

Oops. LOL I posted under the wrong name.

Don't you just hate it when your alter-ego shows up uninvited???
