I also want to apologize for not posting for awhile. I have a pinched nerve in my hand and typing is a bit difficult. But not so much that I can't tell you about the Christmas Extravaganza hosted by Audrey's Give Aways. This is one of the first giveaway sites I found when I started doing this. Since then, it's become one of my favorites as well.

Top 5 TV Shows That Got Canceled

Hey kids!!

As you can see, I took a few days off from blogging. Not because I want to, but because I gave myself a serious case of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome last week. I've spent years sitting in front of this computer typing my brains out. And the inevitable finally happened. I no longer have feeling in my left hand. Well anyway, not on the little finger or my ring finger. I had to even take off my wedding ring. But will that keep me from writing??? Not on your life, or my hand. LOL. I just have to teach myself how to type a different way now. Cool!

Okay, back to work. Over at Larissa's Bookish Life, there's a weekly event called The Top 5. This week's top 5 is all about our favorite shows that got canceled. Larissa posted only pictures of her faves, but I want to say a few words about my faves. Why???? Because I'm old-ish and I feel like taking a trip down memory lane. Won't you join me???

1.) Max Headroom
Though this clip is a music video from the same era, there was a Max Headroom TV show in the late 80's. It only lasted for 13 episodes, but Maxi went on to star in his own commercials and the video. Ironically, the entire Max Headroom craze centered around a computerized character that wasn't even computerized. Max was played by actor Matt Frewer in make-up.

2.) Fridays
In the very early 1980's, ABC tried to come out with their own version of Saturday Night Live. However, they tried to get a jump on the competition and aired their show on Fridays. Unfortunately it didn't do all that well, lasting from April 1980-October 1982. It did, however, launch the careers of actors Larry David (Curb Your Enthusiasm) and Michael Richards (Kramer from Seinfeld). But my favorite will always be Mark Blankfield (think the blind guy from Robin Hood:Men in Tights).

3.) Friday the 13th: The Series
This TV show had NOTHING to do with the movie franchise. It was about an older gentleman who inherits a curio shop, only to find out that all the pieces in that shop had been cursed. It was up to him and two young apprentices to go back through the sales receipts and get all the sold items back. It was kind of an early version of Warehouse 13.

4.) Joanie Loves Chachi
Yes, I admit it, I actually watched this show. I was a die-hard Scott Baio fan. I fell in love with him when he played Bugsy Malone (an all child-actor cast--good flick). Though this one didn't last as long as Happy Days, I still loved Joanie and Chachi.

5.) Silver Spoons
For anyone who loves either(or both) Rick Schroder or Jason Bateman, then you'd love this show. It's where they both got their start and sweet (and gorgeous) Jason Bateman was the typical trouble-making neighbor kid. This one lasted a full 5 years, and the last 3 seasons also brought in a newcomer by the name of Alfonso Ribiero (aka Carlton from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air).

Okay kiddies, there are my 5 entries. Want to post one of these yourself? Head on over to Larissa's Bookish Life and get all the details. Ciao!!!!
